Cardboard Tubes + Foil = Marble Run!Recently we have been working with cardboard tubes and various materials to hang cardboard tubes in an attempt to make our own marble runs. Instead of a marble, we have been using foil carefully rolled up and pressed into little tiny balls. When I was a child, and still today I guess, I would use aluminum foil left over from sandwiches and anything else to roll into "perfect" spheres. I did this recently in the classroom and it caught the attention of our class. I asked them what they thought they could do with it and the next thing you know, we are in the TinkerLab taping tubes to the wall and trying to find a way to hang them on the pegboard. These pics are a small sample of our starting point. Check out the pegboard wall next time you're in the school to see our most current iteration of a "foil ball run".
